Ultrasonic Type Edge Sensors

Ultrasonic Type Edge Sensors are advanced sensing devices that operate based on the principle of linear propagation of high-frequency ultrasound. These sensors are specifically designed to detect the edge position of coiled materials, making them indispensable in various industrial applications. Unlike optoelectronic sensors, ultrasonic edge sensors are not affected by the transparency of materials, which eliminates the need for frequent adjustments and enhances convenience. They are particularly suited for edge-tracing applications involving non-permeable materials such as plastic film and paper, but are not suitable for air-permeable materials like cloth and non-woven fabrics.

Operation Instructions :

The Ultrasonic Type Edge Sensor includes a blind area adjustment function for switching output to meet various detection requirements. Follow these steps to adjust the blind area settings:

  1. Activate Blind Area Adjustment Mode: Press the SET button for 7 seconds until the middle blue light flashes. In this state, the blind zone is set to 0.5mm.
  2. Adjust Blind Area: Press the SET button again, and two yellow lights will flicker, indicating a blind zone of 1.0mm. Press the SET button once more, and two red lights will flicker, indicating a blind zone of 2.0mm.
  3. Save and Exit: After selecting the desired blind zone state, press the SET button for 6 seconds to save the settings and exit the adjustment mode.
